University Mound South Water Main Rehabilitation Project
Overview
24-inch Water Main Rehabilitation from University Mound Reservoir South to 3rd Street, covering University Mound, Portola, and Silver Terrace neighborhoods.
This project will rehabilitate water pipes that are nearly 90 years old. Existing 24” steel water mains will be rehabilitated to extend its useful design life which also includes replacement with short sections of new 24” ductile iron pipe.
Water main upgrades are planned for:
- Bacon Street from Bowdoin Street to Egbert Avenue and Phelps Street, along Phelps Street to Vesta Street and Williams Avenue, then along Williams Avenue to Neptune Avenue, then along Neptune Avenue to Thornton Avenue, then along Thornton Avenue to 3rd Street.
