Noe Valley Water Main Replacement Project
Overview
STREET TREE TRIMMING ADVISORY
In order to complete repaving of the street after our water main construction, we will be carefully trimming select street trees, under the supervision of a certified arborist. This work will not affect the health of the trees, and will protect them from damage during paving operations.
• North side of Elizabeth Street from Hoffman to Diamond
• West side of Diamond from 23rd to Jersey
• West side of Douglass from 23rd to Elizabeth
• North side of Jersey from Diamond to Castro
When: April 20-21, 2026

Critical upgrades to our aging water infrastructure are planned for:
- Jersey Street between Douglass and Church streets
- Elizabeth Street between Hoffman and Castro streets
- Diamond Street between 23rd and 26th streets
- Douglass Street between 23rd and 25th streets
- 25th Street between Douglass and Diamond Streets - ADDED TO THE PROJECT NOVEMBER 2025
This project will include the installation of 8" and 16" ductile iron water mains and pavement restoration.
Construction Look Ahead*
Week of April 13
- Excavate and install 8-inch water main: Douglass Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Sawcut, excavate, and install 8-inch water main: 25th Street between Douglass and Diamond streets (The date for this work has been moved earlier than originally anticipated.)
Week of April 20
- Excavate and install 8-inch water main: 25th Street between Douglass and Diamond streets (The date for this work has been moved earlier than originally anticipated.)
- Excavate connection pits: Douglass Street between 24th and Jersey streets
- Final street paving:
- Jersey Street between Castro and Diamond streets
- Diamond Street between Jersey and 23rd streets
- Elizabeth Street between Diamond and Hoffman streets
- Douglass Street between 23rd and 24th streets
Week of April 27
- Excavate and install 16-inch water main: Douglass Street between 24th and 25th streets
- Excavate connection pits: Jersey between Diamond and Douglass streets
