Water and Sewer Bill Calculator
The Bill Calculator provides a bill estimate based on your assumed household water usage and property characteristics. Bill amounts are reported for the current rates (effective July 1, 2025) and for the proposed rate adjustments for the next two fiscal years (effective July 1, 2026, and July 1, 2027).
The proposed rates are to be considered by the SFPUC Commission in a rate hearing on April 28, 2026. Learn more about the proposed rates and the upcoming rate hearing.

Before you use the calculator tool:
- Have a recent water and sewer bill nearby to reference while using the calculator
- Look up your property’s measured permeable and impermeable areas on the Stormwater Component Lookup website.*
*In San Francisco, the typical non-residential property is 95% impermeable. If you are a residential customer, please note that most residential properties fall within the 1,701 - 3,300 square feet range and will not need to provide impermeable and permeable areas.
