The SFPUC is investigating several projects to increase the capacity of our water storage. This includes the possibility of expanding existing reservoirs, converting other assets into reservoirs, or storing water in underground aquifers. Water Storage We are working with other regional water agencies to explore opportunities to transfer and exchange water to meet water supply demands, particularly during droughts and emergencies.
