The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) welcomed contractors, Local Business Enterprises (LBEs), industry partners, and community leaders to the 18th Annual Contractors Breakfast on Friday, May 15, at the War Memorial Green Room. Under the theme “Celebrating Success & Looking to the Future,” the event highlighted the partnerships that continue to modernize and strengthen San Francisco’s critical infrastructure while creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive. More than 200 attendees joined this year’s event, giving contractors the opportunity to network and connect with SFPUC staff and partners from across the city.

Throughout the morning, SFPUC leaders shared major accomplishments across Power, Water, and Wastewater programs, including award-winning infrastructure projects, clean energy milestones, and upcoming contracting opportunities that will help shape the city’s future.

“Our past achievements — and our future progress — are made possible through the collective expertise and dedication of contractors across this remarkable city,” said SFPUC Assistant General Manager Stephen Robinson. “From major infrastructure improvements in water and wastewater, to clean renewable power, the SFPUC is committed to partnering with the people and businesses helping us build a more resilient, sustainable, and equitable future for the city.”

The event also reinforced the SFPUC’s ongoing commitment to transparency, collaboration, and supporting local businesses that help deliver essential infrastructure improvements across San Francisco.

Among the businesses recognized was Streamline Drywall Inc., a certified San Francisco LBE featured in one of this year’s contractor spotlights. In a recent LinkedIn post, they shared gratitude for the SFPUC’s continued investment in local businesses and workforce development. “The SFPUC has long been a champion for local businesses and the communities they serve, including providing support through the Contractors Assistance Center and Getting Down to Business Program. Empowering local workforce, delivering excellence, and doing right by this city is how Streamline operates on every project, every day. Gratitude to the SFPUC for continuing to invest in relationships that go beyond contracts — and to every person in that room building San Francisco’s future alongside us,” said Triston Dion, owner of Streamline Drywall.

Events like the Contractors Breakfast continue to strengthen relationships between the SFPUC, prime contractors, and LBEs working together to build San Francisco’s future. Hear directly from contractors Streamline Drywall and HWVY8 Trucking about their work with the SFPUC.
