Sunny Days Ahead: 6 Clean Energy Adventures for Your "SF Summer”

It’s September and that means summer has just begun in San Francisco! With the weather finally warming up, there is no limit to what you can do. You can even experience all the seasons in a single day!  What makes summer in San Francisco even better? The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) powers a lot of San Francisco’s fun through clean and renewable energy, thanks to the Hetch Hetchy Power and CleanPowerSF programs. Check out some of our favorite eco-friendly destinations!

 

1. Experience a rooftop park  

It's not every day where you can experience a park on the top of a building, which is powered by clean energy from Hetch Hetchy Power! So, take a stroll and check out the Salesforce Transit Center, an urban oasis in the sky surrounded by city views, gardens, and public art installations. This 5.4 acre-public park features a living roof and a curved walking trail lined with benches surrounded by grassy lawns, dancing fountains, a children’s play area, and an amphitheater.

2. Try delicious eats at Kantine

Kantine is a Scandinavian-inspired restaurant that serves breakfast, brunch and lunch. All dishes are made from scratch using seasonal, sustainable, and delicious ingredients, and their cardamon morning buns are not to be missed. The cafe is powered by 100% renewable energy thanks to CleanPowerSF’s SuperGreen service.  

3. Add yoga to your self-care routine  

The Integral Yoga Institute is the perfect spot to find a yoga and meditation class for you. The organization also offers other self-care and community resources, such as writing groups, poetry reading, and spiritual studies. 4. Cruise around with the City’s classic transportation
