Work on the Project is occurring within the SFPUC’s Peninsula Watershed in two locations:
- North of State Route 92 along the existing Fifield-Cahill Ridge Trail;
- Construction of a new .5-mile-long universal access loop trail, a 50-car parking lot along with trailhead improvements.
2. South of State Route 92 & East of State Route 35 (also known as Skyline Boulevard);
- Construction of a new 6-mile-long trail segment to be served by a new 24-car parking lot and trailhead improvements.
- Construction of wildlife-friendly security fencing and other security features;
- Installation of a pedestrian bridge, pre-fabricated restrooms and interpretive signagE
SCHEDULE OF WORK
- Week of 5/26 -- Place fabric and fill for Cahill & UAL parking lots; install drain lenses; procure materials for soldier pile walls.
- Week of 6/2 -- Fabricate bathrooms for Cahill Parking Lot and middle segment of trail south of State Route 92.
- Week of 6/9 -- Set bathrooms in place. Place aggregate on Cahill Parking Lot and south segment of trail south of State Route 92.
- Week of 6/16 -- Install redwood header on UAL parking lot.
