Warnerville Substation Rehabilitation
Overview
The Warnerville Substation facilities have reached the end of their working life and are in need of rehabilitation. This project was divided into two subprojects. Subproject A – Warnerville Substation Rehabilitation Phase 1 is complete. Subproject B – Warnerville Substation Rehabilitation Phase 2 is currently in construction.

Project Background
Warnerville Substation facilities and equipment have reached the end of their life expectancy.
The facility needs to be upgraded to meet regulatory and safety requirements. This project addresses major renewal and replacement of the substation components including grounding, fence, circuit breaker, control room upgrade, electrical equipment, and disconnect switch.
This project also improves grading in the substation.
The project is part of a larger Hetchy Capital Improvement Program (HCIP), a multi-year capital program to upgrade or improve water conveyance, water storage, and power generation facilities in the Sierra Nevada portion of the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System.
