San Andreas Pipeline #3 - Drainage & Erosion Repair in Junipero Serra Park

SFPUC’s water mains provide drinking water to the City of San Francisco. This project will protect San Francisco’s water mains by repairing erosion and diverting stormwater away from those water lines. Most of the construction work will be performed in undeveloped areas of Junipero Serra Park. Reservations at the Oak Cove Picnic Area will be prohibited for approximately 8 weeks, though there will be full access to other park facilities.

The Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System is owned and operated by the SFPUC, a department of the City and County of San Francisco. The system provides drinking water to 2.7 million people in Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco counties.
