The Urban Watershed Stewardship Grant Program provides funding for community-centered projects that provide a stormwater benefit in one or more of San Francisco’s urban watersheds through reducing impervious surfaces, managing stormwater, and/or educating the public about the importance of protecting our urban watersheds.

The grant program has two application tracks: Infrastructure Track and Stewardship Track. The Infrastructure Track is for projects that will implement physical installations that improve San Francisco’s urban watersheds by removing impervious surfaces and replacing them with drought-tolerant plantings or implementing technical green infrastructure to capture and treat stormwater. The Stewardship Track is for projects that will provide a stormwater-focused service, program, and/or educational opportunity to City and County of San Francisco residents and SFPUC ratepayers.

 

To Apply

  1. Read the Grant Solicitation and Grant Guidebook for important information about the updated grant program and

  2. Reach out to the Grant Program Administrator at WSG@sfwater.org for questions, project support, or to schedule a feasibility site visit.
